This charity was first brought to my attention by Elaine C. Carroll, the Chief Executive Officer of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (NHSO) back in November of 2016.
Elaine was aware of Watson’s commitment to the community and reached out to us to see if we could help spread the word about a fundraiser that the NHSO was holding to support the Community Soup Kitchen. The NHSO’s December 15th performance of Handel’s Messiah at Woolsey Hall helped to raise nearly $2,000 for the Community Soup Kitchen. That is incredible!
This is another good example of business and organizations working together to help support a great cause. To support the effort begun by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Watson has donated $500 to the Community Soup Kitchen on January 5, 2017.
Part of Watson’s mission is to improve health and wellbeing through good nutrition. Supporting charities that help end hunger and alleviate malnourishment is central to our core values.
