Pangamic acid


There is little known about pangamic acid but it was named vitamin B15.


It is thought to participate in amino acid formation, oxidation of glucose and cellular respiration.  It may be an antioxidant and scientists think that it lowers blood cholesterol and improve circulation.

No symptoms have been reported.

Sources in the Diet

Apricot kernels and whole grains are major sources of pangamic acid.  Supplements are not available in the United States.
